Firmenich is the world’s largest privately-owned company in the fragrance and flavor business.  Founded in 1895 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, Firmenich has created many of the world’s best known perfumes and flavors enjoyed by billions of consumers each day.  They manufacture encapsulated flavors for the beverages, savory and sweet foods industries, and ingredients for the fine fragrance, body care and home care industries.  Firmenich operates in three business divisions: Ingredients, Fragrances, and Flavors with 25 manufacturing sites, 6 in the U.S. (two in New Jersey, one in Florida, California, Minnesota and Missouri) and 63 facilities located throughout the world.  They are an active sub-zone operator in NJ operating under Foreign Trade Zone 49.

Important Tour Information and Requirements

Long pants, long sleeves, and close-toe flat-heel shoes are required. Personal protection equipment will be provided on the tour.  Cell phones, pagers, cameras, and electronic devices are prohibited, along with handbags and other items (will have a place to store on-site or keep them in your car). Additional information will be emailed to participants prior to the event.

09:30 a.m. 1st Tour of Ingredient Plant that supplies the perfume and fine fragrance
industry(2 groups of 10)
10:00 a.m. 2nd Tour of Ingredient Plant that supplies the perfume and fine fragrance
industry (2 groups of 10)

FTZ overview and possible smell/taste testing will be given to group that is not on the tour.
